This doll is wonderful - old, clever with a beautifully beaded leather outfit, a leather face with real braids hanging on both sides tied with sinew, and clever beaded facial features. His body is made from old fabric and stuffed. Around his ankles are beaded straps. Ceremonial beaded circles are around his legs, on his gloves, the top of his head, and around his upper-arms. All the beadwork is intact. There is some staining on the fabric of his legs. One of the fur ankle bands (small pieces of fur piece together for the band) is split in one place and comes off and on. He is a wonderful old dance doll/figure with much personality and Plains Indian history. Stands 12 1/2" tall - bent forward and posed as if riding a horse (which he may have been when originally made). Great for a collection.
