Here is something for all Pepsi and Mt Dew collectors, an old polaroid photograph used in advertising in The Farmville Herald in the mid-1960s at Bob's Super Market in Farmville, Virginia. Close examination shows the display is topped off with one of the rare Mt. Dew hillbilly display figures. The bottles appear to be the 16 oz. swirl design with Pepsi in a shoulder oval. The 8-pack cartons appear to be the design used in the mid-late 1960s. There is one stack of Diet Pepsi to the left and the banner reads: "THIS IS ONE TRUCKLOAD - LET BIG BUYING POWER SAVE YOU CASH" the promotion had the cartons priced at 73 cents and the second for only 59 cents. Those were the days... Photo is 4 1/2" x 3 3/4" with the background 7 1/2" x 4 1/2". A really neat go with item for your Pepsi and/or Mt. Dew collection.
