Very early 1960's style boxy yet tailored suit. (possibly 1959 range) flat "Peter Pan" type collar. Wool or wool blend outer fabric in a jade green tweed with cute self bows and bound buttonholes - so labor intensive. Lining throughout is rayon. Skirt had wide seam allowances so could be let out by a skilled alterations professional or skilled home sewer. The jacket lining was hand sewn into the jacket body indicating a designer level appropriate for a store that retailed on 5th Avenue in NYC. There is no fiber content label. Original metal zipper in the skirt.
