Now the listing.An Outstanding Lancaster County ,Pennsylvania Paint Decorated Miniature Blanket Chest ,In Excellent Original Overall Condition. If you look close you'll see the initials " M R B" on the Front Panel of this Chest ,and on the Right Side is "1830". This was put on the Chest While the Paint Decoration was still wet ,and workable. The Turned Feet are all original and tight. The Blanket Chest Interior has it's original lidded Till. The Hinges are Flush Mounted on the Back ,and are original to the Chest. The usderside of the Lid is marked " Martha R. Biggs" and the Year of it's making, 1830. It has NO repairs or Paint touchups. The Case is well Dovetailed ,and solid. it needs nothing and is in ready to use condition. It measures 15 1/2" across the front x 8 1/2" wide x 9 1/2" high. This is one of the finest ,most Pure , Paint Decorated Miniature Blanket Chests you'll ever see for sale, It is simply an Outstanding piece of American Folk Art.
