Please notice this is just a quilt TOP: it is NOT a finished quilt or bedspread, as there is no batting or backing underneath the pieced fabrics shown on the photos.It measures approximately 126" by 92" across; the bed is a queen, 80" by 60".There are 30 Flower Garden blocks in this quilt top: all of them were made with different feed sack scraps. The piecing was done by hand (see close-up # 12).The blocks are older than the blue fabric used to put together the final version of quilt top: those blocks were probably made in the 50's or earlier. At least, that is our opinion, although please bear in mind we are no experts or collectors: we could be wrong.The hexagons are made of a light blue fabric that it seems to us (again, NO experts) to be a cotton blend, not pure cotton, but the piecing of the hexagons made of that fabric was done also by hand: the whole quilt top was made by hand.We combine shipping.
