Original "Samantha" doll from American Girl w/ Big lot of Clothes/Accessories!This original Samantha Parkington doll from the mid 1990s. Original owner!The doll is in excellent condition--no markings, hair is nice and smooth. She comes in her complete original outfit, with original dress, hat, tights, shoes, underwear, and hair ribbon. She is missing only the locket. Dress is still pressed, no fraying on the ribbons, the tights, shoes, underwear are all in great shape. No stains, no odors, no fraying, still crisp.Samantha comes in a large, heavy wooden chest. Not original to the Pleasant Company. Chest is extremely sturdy--and heavy--with two large compartments, hanging rod, and two drawers. The outside is a bit scratched and dinged up--see pictures.The biggest drawback to this chest is that there are not strings or anything to hold each item on either side. When it's folded, things fall from one side to the other. Always meant to add something to take care of it--maybe you can.IF you do not want the chest in order to save on shipping costs, I will consider it.The lot comes complete with lots of clothes beyond her original "meet" dress.5 old-fashioned-looking dresses :Burgundy velvet with floppy hat Gingham & Burgundy with tiny purse.
