Here's a great early TV advertising collectible! "Dooley", an Irish beer stein, was partnered in 1959 with "Schultz", a German stein, to sell West End Brewing's Utica Beer. (The legendary Jonathan Winters provided the voices!) Limited promotional steins were imported from KING-Werk in Germany from 1959 to 1964.This Dooley is from these original first promotions. His condition is very good, his cold painted eyes, shamrock decal and hair in good shape. Unused, or shelved, there are no nicks or scratches. The metal lid hinge is as original: loose, so the lid moves a bit. Stoneware body impressed KING, decal "Western Germany"; ".5l" impressed in body.7.5" tall, 3.75" diameter foot.This ships from Dallas, preferably domestically.
