ACEO = Art Cards Editions & Originals. An affordable way to collect art just for fun or as an investment. The word 'encaustic' means 'to burn in' & refers to the way the ancient Romans & Greeks used melted bees' wax as a carrier medium for ground, natural pigments. This method has been updated with the use of brilliant, light fast pigments & electrical appliances. This picture has been painted in pigmented bees' wax using an ordinary, every day travelling iron & a heated stylus. Bees' wax melts at 65 degrees C, so there's no danger of it melting off your wall! This painting measures 2.5 inches x 3.5 inches. It is signed by the artist on the reverse.Please note. This image has been scanned.
