ITEM: This is a vintage and original 20th Century-Fox makeup department still photograph featuring actress Gene Tierney in preparation for her iconic titular role in the 1944 film noir Laura . Makeup was done by Guy Pearce, who worked heavily as a makeup artist during the 1930s-1940s, and this look on Tierney was done using Max Factor cosmetics, a major player in the Hollywood makeup scene during the Golden Age.
