This auction is for a very special and rare item. This bracelet commemorates 100 years of baseball, 1839 - 1939. It was never meant to last forever but this one has been protected, hidden away in the back of my husband's desk drawer along with all his other little treasures. Back in the day, Quaker Oats was not only famous for its cereals but also for its premiums. From Fire King dishes to dish towels, which came packed inside the boxes of oat meal and assorted other cereals to mail in items. This bracelet was available by mail for five box tops or one box top and $.15. This bracelet and three charms are made of a non magnetic metal and is a gold color. The bracelet, itself, has minor tarnish or oxidation on some of the links. The charms are bright and still shine but do have minor fine scratches. One charm is a baseball, one is two crossed bats with a ball and the third is a baseball diamond which reads; 1839 BASEBALL CENTENNIAL 1939. The closure works properly. Length of the bracelet is 6 3/4". There are no maker's marks on the charms or bracelet. Thank you for viewing my listing. Payment is required within 48 hours of close of auction.
