ONE OF A PAIR OF 18TH C MA QUEEN ANNE CHAIRS WITH BOLD SPANISH FEET IN MAPLE #2DescriptionWE PURCHASED A VERY FINE MATCHED PAIR OF EARLY MA QUEEN ANNE SIDE CHAIRS IN MAPLE IN FINE CONDITION AND RETAINING THE BOLDEST ORIGINAL SPANISH CARVED FRONT FEET. WE WILL BE OFFERING THEM INDIVIDUALLY THIS EVENING. THEY ARE BOTH IDENTICAL AND BOTH ARE IN NEAR PERFECT CONDITION THIS ONE IS IN ITS ORIGINAL SURFACE WITH NO PAINT OVER IT.THIS IS CHAIR #2 WHICH IS THE CHAIR ON THE RIGHT SHOWN IN THE PHOTO OF BOTH CHAIRS TOGETHER.CHAIR #2AN EXTREMELY FINE 18TH CENTURY QUEEN ANNE SIDE CHAIR WITH A MOLDED TOP CREST WITH A BOLD SPLAT AND DEEP EARLY BLOCK TURNINGS AND THE FINEST BRUSH CARVED SPANISH FEET. MA, CIRCA 1730-1750 IN MAPLE AND ASH.ALL ORIGINAL WITH ITS ORIGINAL RUSH SEAT. IT HAS A NICE OLD DARKENED ORIGINAL VARNISH SURFACE.A WONDERFUL EARLY QUEEN ANNE American side chair. It has a fully developed crest and a highly developed and carved center splat. It is block turned with a cant to the rear.IT HAS A BOLD TURNED SINGLE FRONT STRETCHER AND A SINGLE SIDE STRETCHER.IT HAS THE BOLDEST HAND CARVED SPANISH FEET.NO REPAIRS TO THE FEET THEY ARE ALL ORIGINAL.This great chair stands 40 1/2" tall.
