Sterling Silver Purse Frame You are bidding on a wonderful old silver purse. These old evening purses were called "reticules" and were most often made of mesh with an expandable opening. In this case, the opening is silver with a Scottie dog on top. This purse was represented to me as sterling, but I can't find a mark that says that. I can find a hallmark that is faint, but nothing that says silver, so I'm not making any claims about that. What I do claim is that this is a really cute vintage piece. The mest has had some tears and is repaired with monofilament that doesn't show much. The purse measures about 4" long and the clasp and expandable part are in good condition and work well.
