NWB KOSTA BODA (Since 1742) Glass ‘Moongold Lovers’by Bertil Vallien for Ericsson w/Base Special edition glasswork depicting a couple in a midair/or water hold by reknowned glassware artist Bertil Vallien. Beautifully executed in Blue & Green with wonderfully multicolored metallic painted figures locked in an embrace. Voted Japans world leading designers in 1980, Bertil works with several different techniques at Afors glassworks, where he blows, sand-blasts, casts and uses moon-gold. Sometimes adding other materials and plays with new and line affects. A reknown ambassador of glass this 1938 Stockholm born artist was educated at the National College of Art, Craft and Design, Stockholm 1957-61 and has exhibited in the top museum collections such as the Smithsonian Institute, Renwick Gallery 1989; Corning Museum, New York; Victoria and Albert Museum, London; Musee des Arts Decoratifs, Paris; and The Art institute of Chicago to name a few.
