Noritake M-in-Wreath Oval Tray w/6 Salts Made in Japan Hand Painted Raised GoldNORITAKE Exquisite Decorative Handled 12 1/2" OVAL TRAY w/6 OVAL SALTS, Hand Painted RAISED GOLD, from Noritake Company in Noritake, Japan, circa 1921-1925DESCRIPTION: The beautiful hand painted tray & salts set was produced in a beautiful pattern of florals with raised gold outlining using a gold and cream on white color palate. The design looks so classic. There is a light cream wash from the white center to the rim of the tray. This is repeated on the matching salts. On the tray, the rim is beautifully trimmed in gold which widens to solid gold as it sweeps around the reticulated handles. The salts have a similar raised gold painting in their white centers with the light cream wash extending to the gold trimmed rims. The scrollwork pattern on the tray is repeated to encircle the salts.CONDITION: While this set is classified as used, the condition is superb. There are no chips, nicks, cracks, rubbings, scratches or hairlines. There are no utensil marks or wear on the gold.DIMENSIONS: The large oval deep tray is 12 1/2" from handle to handle by 5 5/8" wide with a side height of 1 1/2" rising to 2" at the handles.
