A pair of vintage gold plated? cufflinks from the German shipping company Norddeutscher Lloyd.Norddeutscher Lloyd, or North German Lloyd (Lloyd being a mid-19th century term used for a shipping company), was formed in 1857 in Bremen, Germany. The company merged with Hamburg America Line in 1970 to form Hapag-Lloyd, which still operates today.The what I assume to be gold plated top has raised lettering "Norddeutscher Lloyd Bremen" and the company's crossed anchor and key logo. The back is embossed "Hochfeine Qualitat" translating to something like fine quality.The cufflinks are 5/8" in diameter. Condition is vintage with tarnishing. Please refer to photo for condition.
