This auction is for a very rare early Nikon F 10.5cm f2.5 "tick mark" lens, made by Nikon for use with the first (1959) Nikon F cameras. Only a relative handful of these lenses were made. The lens is complete with a Nikon F 10.50cm f2.5 box, a Nikon plastic "bubble," a Nikon Front Lens Cap, and a Nikon UV filter & plastic Nikon filter case. The lens is not perfect, but it is the real thing! (see photos) There is some paint wear on the lens barrel (see photos) , and there is a small notch cut in the diaphragm ring, just to one side of the "rabbit ears." What purpose this is suppose to serve is unknown; it seems to have no purpose or influence on the lens's operation. These lenses were very early production, and in a sense, were prototypes. The diaphragm mechanism works OK, as does the focus. Whatever, this is a very rare, collectible Nikon F lens. I ship only to addresses in the US and Canada. Shipping will be via the US Postal Service, and shipping charges will be based on the high bidder's ZIP or Postal Code. If you are the high bidder, I'll contact you shortly after the end of the sale.
