Chester R. Nicodemus, a Columbus sculptor and potter, was born August 17, 1901 near Barberton, OH. He graduated from the Cleveland Art School in 1925. He studied at The Ohio State University in the 1930's and then became Dean of Columbus Art School in 1932. Mr. Nicodemus began his own business in 1943 called Ferro-Stone Ceramics. After a long and successful career creating and selling pottery at his Clintonville, OH studio, he passed away November 25, 1990.Nicodemus Pottery is cherished in many fine collections for its beauty and value. Here we have a wonderful 4 1/2 inch tall Nicodemus Sugar and Creamer set. This creamer holds 3 1/2 ounces of liquid. This is a great glaze combination of green and brown. This is a great creamer and sugar set in original condition. Very unusual and sure to please any finicky collector.Exceptional set in original condition and has no damage, no repairs, no cracks, no scratches, and free from crazing. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process including glaze misses and glaze pops. I cannot detect any repairs or modifications.Authentic Nicodemus Pottery. Original Sticker.
