I received this autographed Neil Armstrong photo from my grandfather when I was born in 1981, because my name is also Neal. He received this autographed photo and two others from a student that had Neil Armstrong as a professor. The photos were used as payment for dental work that my grandfather performed for the student. I've never had this photo hanging up, it's always been stored in a closet. The autograph is faded but still clear, I'm guessing the marker he used was low because it has always looked this way. I've never purchased a formal letter of authenticity but have submitted a photo of his autograph to an online authenticity site several years ago and they said without a doubt that it is authentic. I hadn't planned on selling Neil because it was a gift from my grandfather and held out through the initial flood of his autographs on Ebay but decided I really need the money now.
