"Night Navigator" by Michaele Miller This year, Downtown Seattle is hosting the second annual NUTCRACKER March, benefiting Northwest Center . This event features 60 LIFE-SIZED, hand-crafted nutcrackers that are part of a public art project and individually DESIGNED by LOCAL ARTISTS and organizations. This original piece reflects the COMPLEXITY and BEAUTY of the night sky. The greens and blues INSPIRE heavenly reflection through the day and night. The Night Navigator Nutcracker is currently displayed at the Seattle Marriott for the 2006 holiday season, w it may experience some wear and tear. At the beginning of January the nutcrackers will be removed from the street and returned to Northwest Center for repairs and touch up. Once repairs are completed, the nutcrackers will be available for shipping (around the END OF JANUARY). The nutcracker is appropriate for INDOOR or OUTDOOR use. This original nutcracker stands approximately 6 feet high when on its base and 5 feet without the base (the person in the photo is 5'8"). The width of the base is approximately 4 feet across. No assembly is required, though the purchaser may want to add sand to the base to help stabilize the piece.
