NAVAJO C1920 SILVER CONCHO FULL SNAKE SKIN BELT W HEAD This listing is for a vintage Navajo silver concho belt with a full snakeskin. The belt consists of seven conchos all measuring approximately the same size. They are 3" x 2.75" or 7.5 x 7 cm. The conchos are high grade silver, although unmarked. The silver is heavily worked with traditional Navajo patterns. Each concho has a bezel set cabochon cut turquoise in it's center. This turquoise is very good quality. The conchos are mounted on a full snakeskin. The snakeskin has been reinforced with leather. As you can see by the photographs the snake's head is still attached and acts as buckle. Again please see the photographs. The belt is in good overall condition. The conchos are in excellent condition and are unpolished. They would of course polish to a bright silver sheen if one wanted to. The snakeskin is alos in good condition. T is one repair or reinforcement to the leather by the holes. Under the head of the snake is a round stud that fits into the belt holes. Again under the snake head t should be a loop that would help hold the belt in place, this is torn. The belt measures 41" or 104 cm. from head to tail. This is a genuine vintage belt. My best guess is that it was made somew between 1900-1930. T is no reserve.
