Up for bid is this wonderfully crafted Native Woman Mother and Child by Artisan Sandy Whitefeather. She wears a Royal Blue gown and sits holding a a Baby in her arms. Beside her is a beautiful Terra Cotta Cradle Board. Her lustrous black hair is in the traditional style with a bun at the back held by a ribbon. She wears a silver necklace with turquoise. Great buy! Doll measures 2-3/4" tall x 2-1/2" wide. Sandy Whitefeather's Native Women are based on paintings by the late Artist RC Gorman. Thirty years ago, RC Gorman, internationally known for his renderings of Native Women, gave the rights to six of his paintings to Sandy Whitefeather to reproduce in statuary. She has six Native Women in her series. Made of solid clay statuary material. Signed by Artist. Certificate of Authenticity. Doll is in MINT CONDITION! Please ask any Questions you may have.
