Morganite Tumblestone This pink form of beryl was named Morganite, after the American banker and collector J.P. Morgan. M organite belongs to the same gemstone family as emerald, aquamarine, golden beryl and Bixbite. Among these beryls, Morganite and the raspberry-red Bixbite are the rarest. Like the other members of the beryl family, Morganite is aluminum beryllium silicate. The source of the pink coloration is not well understood. Some scientists attribute morganite's colour to traces of manganese, while other sources attribute the colour to the element caesium. Morganite's colour can vary from soft pink to violet to salmon or peach. Measures approx. 2.7 cms. Morganite is known both as an angel stone and a heart stone. It can bring love to one's live or rekindle old love. As an angel stone, it is known to help with communicating with angels. Morganite also brings compassion, empathy, self-control, and patience. It can also balance emotions and ease the pain of separation. Check out my other items ! Be sure to add me to your favourites list !
