This auction is for an odd lot of vintage photos relating to Berlin, Connecticut.1) Old, faded sepia photo of Mollie Brandegee. I cannot precisely date this, but Brandegee is an old Berlin name. Mollie is dressed in a rather unusual hat and outfit, my guess is she is about 8 or 9 in the photo.2) Fabulous sepia photo of the famous Leatherman. This is an original photo, and shows him with a carpet bag and a tip table and wearing his signature homemade leather garments. The Leatherman wandered between the Connecticut and Hudson Rivers between 1862 and 1888. I have included a pamphlet published by the Berlin Historical Society describing the Leatherman and his circuit.3) Old sepia photo showing the trolley car coming down Worthington Ridge. There is a bicycle in the foreground. This old photo is mounted on a stiff backing board, the photo itself is 6-¾" wide by 4-¾" tall.4) 5 vintage black & white 8" x 10" photos. I believe these photos were produced to preserve information from glass plates that had some damage. a) The first shows 30 children, perhaps 7-12 years old, and a teacher peeking out from behind a door frame in the back. It may have been taken at the Berlin School on Worthington Ridge. b) There are 2 photos that I think are from inside the original Berlin Town Hall. c) There are also 2 of buildings in town: one building says read more
