Beautiful 1880's~1890's Red and Green Zig Zag or Streak of Lightning QUILT TOP NEAR PERFECT I was recently selling at a local field sale and ran across this beauty. This quilt top came from a very well known Pennsylvania family. They have been for some time. The woman that sold it to me was already in her late 70's early 80's. When I first saw the top, I thought it might be a remake of newer fabrics because it is in NEAR perfect condition. T are one or two faded areas that are MINOR in size. The fading is also minor. I had to search for the fading. The faded aread measure about 2 inches in length. Anyway,the woman went on to tell me that the quilt top was made by her grandmaother when she was a very young women and never finished. So, this is a real OLDIE and a real GOODIE! This quilt top is machine sewn. It is large as well. I photographed it on a twin size and it hangs low. Measurements are 74" x 86". Pattern name is the ZIG ZAG or STREAK OF LIGHTNING! please email me with any questions you might have. All the best for a Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
