Welcome to the Mile Awards 6 Charity Auction we are hosting to raise funds for the Manchester Children’s Hospital - registered charity 1049274. In June the Kearsley and Little Lever Primary Schools are hosting the 6th annual Mile Awards (Making Independent Learning Exciting) and have chosen the Manchester Children’s Hospital as their charity to support this year as 2 children within the cluster have had treatment for leukaemia this year. The money raised is going towards a dvd for new patients explaining their treatment and to refurbish a ward. Money is raised through sponsorship, donations, advertising, raffle and these auctions. Last year we raised £4000 for the Bolton Children’s Opportunity Group – over £2000 came through our auction. Over the last 6 years we have raised over £20000 for local charities. We have written to many sports teams, famous people and celebrities asking for donations that can be auctioned. Everything in this auction has been sent by the celebrity or their agent. Where a letter has been sent by the agent or celebrity this is included. All money raised goes directly to the charity which hopefully confirms the authenticity of all the items to you. Ryan Giggs – Manchester United and Wales – has very kindly signed a copy of the programme for the Carling Cup match against Norwich City. The item will be posted
