This is a little heavy duty plate that is probably a bread & butter or salad plate. The plate has a green design around the edge that is called Medallion. It is marked on the back with the following marks: MEDALLION MAYER CHINA MADE FOR HORN & HARDART BAKING PHILA, PA. W.T.& van R . (then something I can’t make), there is also then number 2 and all this is in green. Then impressed in the plate it has J. & E. MAYER CHINA BEAVER FALLS, PA. I am not sure of the age of the plate but I think I read that the Horn & Hardart Baking went out of business in 1928. The plate is in nice but used condition with light use marks. There is also a makers flaw on the backside of some of the green paint they used got rubbed around the edge before firing as it is under the glaze. It is really a nice plate and very heavy would believe it to be ironstone. It measures approx. 6 ¾”. I will ship for $7.95 and that will include tracking. SHIP USA ONLY.
