10.5" long hard plastic body Batmobile w/translucent plastic canopies and painted figural Batman figure and Robin. Marx, ©1966 NPP, Inc. Original and rare box has moderate aging/wear, some fading to yellow on one end flap. A near puncture in center of one panel. One inner flap is missing and a total of four flaps on ends have been reattached with five strips of archival tape. Displays VG. While produced at the time of the popular Batman TV show, this Batmobile was made for the UK market only and differs from all U.S. Batmobiles of the time, featuring a 1950s dream car styled body. Box art by Walter Howarth (1928-2008). Applied bat symbol stickers on doors have aged evenly and show some lt. scattered wear. Small mold mark at bottom of driver's side door. Plastic rims have melted at edges, rubber tires have reacted to plastic rims causing melt issue but move freely. Free wheeling and friction mechanism has sound but doesn't function properly or produce siren noise. Despite issues, Batmobile still displays well overall. Fine. Very rare and first example we've offered in our 57 years w/original box.
