Certainly the finest MARIE CHARLOT I have owned in my lifetime. Glorious dramatic yet subdued seascape combined with delightful figures....what's interesting here is that the colors of their clothes are blue and white, which is the same as the sky and clouds. So there is almost a blending process, wherein the woman's dress is almost like a fluffy cloud itself, which merges with the sky. And the water...so there is a symbiotic relationship between the sky, sea, and the people gently nestling on the shoreline. And of course the white seagulls barely seen in the distance. I love this painting!! Yet I must now part with it. Needs large space to hang, as it measures 24" x 36" unframed, and a total of 29" x 53" with the frame and matting. Needs mild cleaning. The darker colors in the photos are actually my shadow as I am taking the picture. ALL OFFERS CONSIDERED! Please allow up to 7 business days for shipping!!!
