DESCRIPTION Pre-owned necklace by the esteemed Polish jeweler Marcin Tyminski. This design features a series of pointed elongated pod shapes. All but one are oxidized; the non-oxidized one is set off-center and adds visual drama to the design. This was also made in a gold vermeil version (with a single silver pod), but I find the dark and light contrast here much more effective. The pods have a brushed surface. This necklace has a handmade hook clasp. It's a striking and clever modern look by an exciting contemporary jewelry artist, and it is a fairly current piece, perhaps 2-3 years old. Tyminski is a selected artist for this year's upcoming Joya 2017 juried jewelry show in Barcelona, an important event in the art jewelry world.
