This is a superb Edwardian Inlaid Mahogany Mantle Clock It has a silver dial with a chime silent in the arch and is lightly engraved It has a three train German movement striking on five bronze gong rods, giving a wonderful deep tone The case is rich mahogany with a lancet top inlaid with a satinwood fan, satinwood stringing on a raised plinth base which is inlaid with an open fan. The door has its original thick bevelled glass which is unmarked There is a tiny piece of veneer missing ( very old damage ) just above the base as shown in the photo, hardly noticable. The clock is in perfect working order, keeps good time and chimes on the quarter hours, although when it strikes the hour the gong keeps going, I haven,t had this looked at, I just don,t wind that gong but I,m sure this is an easy fix. The clock stands 16.75" tall 11" wide and 7" deep This is a magnificent clock and looks superb on display. GENUINE NO RESERVE Thankyou for looking!
