MACK Truck Bull Dog Ashtray - NEW in BOX Up for auction is a vintage ashtray from Mack , maker of heavy-duty trucks with over 100 years of history. This ashtray is like new in its original box (included as shown), having never been used. Featuring the legendary bulldog, symbol of the company, this chrome ashtray is a real collector's item. This ashtray comes from the collection of my grandfather, who worked as a mechanic for decades after his return from the Second World War. The bull dog's collar reads MACK and his chest reads Design Patent 87931 . The bottom is marked Central Die Casting & Manufacturing Co. Chicago USA. The tray itself measures 7" in diameter, and the bulldog stands roughly 5" tall. It has two rests upon which cigars can be easily set without contacting ash beneath. It is in great condition, and the only noticeable signs of its age are a spot with a slight chip on the edge of the tray. T, some minimal residue from the ashtray's contact with the box remains. The rest of the effects of age on the material are minimal, and not noticeable. This piece would be perfect for any transportation memorabilia collection or for a MACK employee.
