Some men are born into greatness; others have greatness thrust upon them. Luis Gonzalez was already a great ballplayer prior to the 2001 World Series, but his game-winning hit off Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera during Game 7 of the 2001 World Series delivered the only World Series title to the Arizona Diamondbacks, making him a hero to the entire state. This offered Arizona Diamondbacks helmet bears faint scratches, and Gonzalez's flowing black marker signature and the inscription "2001 WS Game 7 GW Hit" appear on the brim of the helmet. The helmet comes with a COA from JSA (AI34665) for the signature and inscription.
