Thank you for taking your time to view my auction! This listing is for an exquisite footed tea cup and saucer set depicting famous paintings of Jean Honore Fragonard (1732-1806) commonly referred to as Courting Couple or Love Story . In 1930, a man by the name of Josef Kuba opened his own decorating studio in Karlsbad that used marked blanks from other pottery kilns, such as this Johann Seltmann Vohenstrauss cup and saucer. The JKW studio produced high quality art for many years, including applications based on Fragonard and Old Vienna. Based on the multiple marks on this set, and the separation of Germany, these pieces were created between 1945-1952.Both tea cup and saucer are in very good condition with no chips cracks or crazing. There is some scuffs from previous use (particularly the handle), and there are several dark spots that may be removable with appropriate cleaning. Please be sure to view the images for visual reference. Overall, considering the age of these beautiful and delicate pieces they would both be wonderful for display anywhere.The dimensions for the saucer is 3/4"h x 5 3/4"w and the footed tea cup is 2"h x 4"w x 5"l
