Donated to our thrift store is this: Lot of 5 Baseballs, 4 with autographs, 1 from the World Series that Wasn't. We are not autograph authenticators so we are not going to claim that these donated baseball have authentic signatures. There are no dates or team names on the balls.One of the ball was very unusual because it had people from many sports on it. There is Shirley Muldowney (NHRA racer), Carl Yastrzemski, Joe Garagiola, Bill Walso, Billy Mills, Ken Griffey, Barry Sanders, Phil & Steve Mahre (Olympic skier), Arthur Ashe (Tennis), Jack Tatum (Football), Terry O'Neil (Martial Arts?) and Dave Stewart (Baseball).Another baseball may contain a clue why the first baseball has so many unrelated sports signatures on it. The ball I'm referring to says "Mickey Mantle, Reggie Jackson, Jerry West and Magic Johnson invite you to join them for a news conference & luncheon announcing the beginning of Upper Deck Authenticated" and had Mickey Mantle's signature (photos 5 & 6) on it along with another signature we can't make out. Perhaps the donor who collected these baseballs was in the press or a sports caster. Pure speculation.The other two baseballs with signatures, we've been able to read a couple signatures on each but not enough to determine if they are for a team or what.
