Item: Serving Bowl Measurements: 8 1/2 Inches Wide and 2 3/4 Inches High Condition: This is a blanket statement- These are used Dishes from partial sets obtained at Estate Sales or Auctions. There are minimal knife marks- No chips, dinks, or heavy gouge scratches. There may be Crazing due to the age of the Set- I have not done water testing for Crazing. If this is a multiple listing they will be consistent in condition, so you can buy with confidence that the picture is not the best plate of the batch and the rest are dregs. Measurements: If you are attempting to match an item in your service- Especially plates- Some services will have 6 different sizes. A Luncheon plate may be called a Salad, or a Dessert plate may be assumed to be a Bread and Butter. What is called an 8 Inch plate may actually be a 7 ¾- I measure the actual size of the plate listed. Measure your own plate and then make your purchase . There is often a discrepancy between what the plate is called, and the actual manufactured intention of the plate due to the age of the set. I use the name given to the size by the manufactures club, or as used by large replacement companies- However I have found this information may waiver.
