Sold as is - no returns.History of : Lilliput Lane , founded in September 1982 by sculptor David Tate, was a company known for its extensive range of realistic miniature handmade models of real English and Welsh cottages and scenes.Originally with a team of"seven employees and a dog", David had an ambitious dream, he wanted to capture Britain's architectural heritage with his Lilliput Lane Cottages. That number grew to 600 as the business boomed;at one time there were 75,000 collectors worldwide. The models would sell in over 50 countries around the world.Usually based on a real building, Lilliput Lane Cottages are originally carved in wax, with each stone and shingle being added individually.From that model, a silicone mold is made , and from that mold, the final cottage is cast in Amorphite, which is a Lilliput Lane invention.Most Lilliput Lane Cottages are made on the scale of 1:76.In 2016, Enesco announced they were closing their production factory in Langholm, read more
