Stunning Amethyst GeodeBig 3 lb Beauty!This beautiful Amethyst geode is from the country of Uruguay and ranges in medium to dark shades of purple with mixed size druzy crystal points. The geode weighs 3 lbs and is approximately 5¾" tall, 6" wide, and sits up to 2½" deep. This geode has a flat cut base and stands freely on its own, making it ideal for display on a shelf, desk, mantle or more. The stone features a beautiful array of amethyst crystals! Please note: A few of the crystal points have minor chips from the mining process . This a special geode that was mined out of solid Basalt, which is the gray stone on the back of the piece. There are a couple chips in the backside basalt area. Pictures show the amethyst in two different kinds of indoor lighting conditions.Amethyst is in the same family of gemstones as citrine and quartz, and is mined in sizes from small gemstones up to the large cathedral church. A special Amethyst information card is also included with this geode. Would make a wonderful addition to a healing gems collection, as a gift, or resell for a profit.
