Offering up this rare Japanese hand painted been stein. It's not marked except for the "Made in Japan" labels but we think that it is made by the Hachiya Brothers Co.The stein stand 9” tall holding half of a liter., and depict Stan Laurel (in his trademark bowler) drinking beer. There are no chips or other damage on the exterior surfaces of this mug however for accuracy we'll mention that it would appear that the hinges are loose around the hole in the drilling of the lids where the hinges attach and a there is a small chip inside the lid on the hat portion. This could easily be fixed with a few tightening of the screws.This is an excellent piece for that collector. Would make an excellent unique Christmas gift.
