This is a wonderful, unique jardiniere pedestal. No jardiniere is included. I cannot find any marks anywhere on the piece to help determine maker, age or origin. It is a large pedestal, measuring 39" in height and 15" width/diameter. As best as I can determine, the pedestal is constructed of three separately fired pieces which were cemented. The three lion's paw feet also appear to be seperately attached. The glazing is well done in rich colors.Pedestal was purchased approximately ten years ago from an antiques consignment store located in Carlisle, Pennsylvania (store has since liquidated and closed). It is my opinion, however, that the pedestal is NOT antique (based primarily on method of construction and it's present condition). I repeat that this is just an OPINION - because the piece has no marks, this opinion could prove to be completely wrong. Pedestal is in very good to excellent condition. I can find no chips, dings or repairs. There are some very minor scratches on the top, obviously from being used, which have been shown in photos.Because of the overall size and weight, combined with likelihood from damage if shipped, I am listing this auction as LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY!
