Of spherical glass, with one continuous engraved groove cut on the curve for striking the matches, ground base and crown, 75mm max diameter. Well designed and effective. This is not one of the strikers made to take a silver collar and which were often removed, it is complete as originally marketed c.1900. weighs 510 grams.
