Lamberton Works was founded in Trenton, New Jersey along the Delaware River in 1869. Later purchased by Maddock Pottery Company, and then by Scammel China Company in 1901. Scammel continued to use the Lamberton name. Lamberton china is considered fine-grade semi-porcelain. Lamberton designed and manufactured for numerous hotels including The Plaza in New York City and manufactured Dorothy Draper's pattern for the Hampshire House. Puritan is a formal French Regency design with sprays of blue-gray laurel leaves combined with fleur-de-lis. China is signed "Lamberton Ivory China, Made in America, 'Puritan.'" This listing is for A 4 PIECE PLACE SETTING. No chips, cracks or crazing. Includes dinner plate salad or sandwich plate cup and saucerI have more pieces listed.
