Judy Garland and Busby Berkeley - Two Separately Signed Documents

Pricing & History
Judy Garland and Busby Berkeley - Two Separately Signed Documents. For those that know the amazing collaboration (3½ film musicals) but ultimately strained relationship between Judy Garland and Busby Berkeley, this is a interesting combination for fans of Hollywood history. First a Judy Garland signed NY State Tax Non-Resident Return for 1962 (income figures for the year clearly present.) Statement is actually filled out as Judy Garland Luft but signed as Judy Garland. The second is a contract agreement by Busby Berkeley and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures dated Oct. 22, 1948 allowing rights for the Esther Williams Water Sequence images for Photoplay from Berkeley's 1949 film, Take Me Out To The Ballgame which starred Frank Sinatra, Gene Kelly and Esther Williams. A combination of signatures on documents by two great artists frequently at odds when working together back in the day, but their legacies live on.
