Canada Goose Decoy By New Jersey carver John Hamilton For auction is a beautiful Canada Goose decoy, carved by John Hamilton of West Creek New Jersey Circa 1960's. John Hamilton was known to have carved with famous carver Hurley Conklin. This decoy is in beautiful shape for its estimated age. It is not known whether this decoy was ever hunted over or whether or not it is in original paint. The paint appears to be original and the decoy doesn't appear to have been used, but I do not know the history of this particular piece. There is an inlaid lead weight in the bottom as well as a leather thong. The name "J. Hamilton" is engraved in the bottom as well. This is a great collectors decoy and one of the oldest in my current inventory. Due to the size and delicate nature of this decoy, oversize shipping is required and will be reflected in the shipping costs. Thanks for looking! Be sure to check out my other decoy auctions of New Jersey decoys. All decoys are sold as is. I make every effort to ensure large, quality photographs to allow you to see the decoy and the condition that it is in. If you have a question about a decoy, I will respond timely with an answer.
