THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE, NEW TO THE HOBBY,SIGNED 1924 INFORMATIONAL CARD. THIS SIGNIFICANT, HANDWRITTEN pre-ROOKIE ERA SIGNED CARD WAS ISSUED BY THE HEILBRONER BASEBALL BUREAU TO JIMMIE FOXX TO FILL OUT AS A 16 year OLD ENTERING MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL. The HEILBRONER baseball BUREAU IS CONSIDERED THE FIRST COMMERCIAL STATISTICAL BUREAU DEDICATED STRICTLY TO BASEBALL. HEILBRONER HAD NEARLY (if not) ALL BASEBALL PLAYERS UNDER CONTRACT, FILL OUT THESE CARDS AND ENTERED THEIR INFO INTO HIS PUBLISHED "BASEBALL BLUE BOOK", which IS CONSIDERED WIDELY AS THE PRECURSOR TO BASEBALL's SABR METRIC SYSTEM.This particular information card was hand written by James e. Fox(x) in 1924, when FOXX was just 16 years old!! This card comes complete with a full JSA auction letter which states:"Significant pre-rookie era Jimmie FOXX autographed and hand written baseball informational card. HEILBRONER baseball bureau index card which appears to have been filled out by FOXX in 1924 based on the "club with" "1923" where FOXX wrote "ridgley md" (making FOXX around the age of only 16). FOXX signed his name "James e FOXX" with one"x" , as has been seen on 1925 A's team Signed baseball's. The second "x" has been added in pencil. Signature rate "8-9 out of 10". Likely the earliest known FOXX autograph ever to surface, making this a remarkably noteworthy piece.
