Scarce 1.75" button with union bug back stamp and name of NYC maker on the curl Columbia Advertising Company. Cello by curl has barely visible 1/8" hairline cello split. The piece is NM and displays Mint. Button was issued late 1971 or early 1972 in support seven Jews who were going on trial for "Conspiracy" who picketed and protested the Russian Trading Corp., Amtorg. The men arrested were protesting the treatment of Jews in the Soviet Union. Their trial began February 14, 1972 and Jerry Eisenberg served as Chairman of the Committee to "Save The Jewish Seven."
