Christmas in July, why not? Certainly you'll be ready by December. Up for auction is a Nativity set. Mary, Joseph, Christ child and 2 lambs are Fontanini made in Italy. The stable is nicely constructed, and has a sticker on the bottom marked Whitney 1989 Taiwan. All the pieces are in excellent condition. The Christ child is marked Depose Italy 502 Fontanini 1983. All figures are from that year. If you are not familiar with this manufacturer, they use the "Old World" sculpture, bringing back memories of Grandma's Nativity Set. The pieces are so highly detailed and the coloring is soft and antique looking. Out of all the Navitiy Sets I have ever seen, the Fontanini sets pull at my heart strings. Condition of the figures are excellent.Suggested retail of these figures on today's market, is approximatly $15.00 to 20.00 each. The stable/creche is constructed of wood and straw and fibers. It is sturdy. At the peak of the roof it is 9.5 inches high, the length is16.5 inches and the width is 7 inches. The set is very nice and if you like the Old World Style consider this one.
