This is an amazing Georgian ring, and has been in my collection for years. Sadly, I've only worn it on Christmas Eve, so it needs to go to a more loving and appreciative home.The gold is solid but unmarked, which is typical of the 18th century era, and seems to be a combination of rose gold on the top to complement the garnets, and yellow gold for the triple shank.There are 9 glittering foil-backed garnets set in classic Georgian style on the top of the ring, all in perfect shape with no chips that I can see. There is a tiny amount of foil damage under one stone, but it can really only be seen close up. This is a durable ring, but not one to get wet, as the foil under the stones can be damaged if you do.This beautiful ring is just short of 1 1/2" long, by 3/4" wide, and is a size 6 1/2 US, and could be easily sized if needed by your fave jeweler. It weighs .2oz / 5gms.I am starting the bidding at a price way under what I paid for it, and there is no reserve, so have fun and snag a bargain!
