Originally this set was priced over $400 for the entire set, Complete. This set has become even more sought after now 40 years latter and they have become virtually IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND, especially in in Good Condition. Most sets by now have been either worn down by either the elements or by children who have mishandled the books and ripped them or written and drawn all over them. But this set that is up for bid is EXTREMELY RARE and in GOOD CONDITION!These volumes are packed with beautiful, intriguing illustrations on almost every page along the way. Each book meticulously covers in detail the major events in Church History. These books are packed with many maps and photographs of the area and to help them learn about the areas and gain actual visualization of the areas where the Church History events took place.In all honesty, I believe there could be no better way to teach your children about CHURCH HISTORY and the life of Joseph Smith.These books have been written to appeal to children from the ages of 4 thru 12 years. The many illustrations are designed to hold the interest of even the very young as the story unfolds. Each of the full size pictures portray concepts which for many are unique to the LDS faith. These pictures are not available anywhere else in the church. As you can see from the few photos present, the book has been illustrated in such a way as to have pictures in the paragraph as you read. The picture is a representation of the word next to it. This type of book has shown to increase children's desire to read, increase their reading ability, and self mastery of the material.The stories and material are such that they can be used in a variety of ways within the framework of the home and church.
