Up for bidding are two adorable small angels playing mandolins? HUM 453. The angel on the right (see main photo) is "The Accompanist". This angel was created by master sculptor Gerhard Skrobek in 1984. This angel is about 3 1/2 inches tall. The angel is wearing a worn out blue dress. The angel's wings are off white. The Accompanist shows the angel playing an instrument (I think it is a mandolin). The angel's facial expression shows that the angel is looking down and perhaps singing along as the angel strums its instrument. The expression is one of contentment. On the bottom of the base in blue ink is the Goebel and W. Germany. Thus, the TMK is a 6. Incised is the date of 1984. The condition is pristine. It was kept wrapped and I just opened it up. I live in a smoke free home, too.On the left is "Angel Serenade". This piece, HUM 214D, was created by Gerhard Skrobek in 1951. It is both a part of a Nativity Set and sold individually. This angel is about 3 1/8 inches tall. The angel is wearing a worn out reddish/brown dress. The angel's wings are off white with reddish/orange paint on the tips. Angels Serenade is playing an instrument (again, I think it is a mandolin). The angel's facial expression shows that the angel is looking down and perhaps singing along as the angel strum its instrument. The expression is also one of contentment. read more
