A fantastic pig shaped money box designed by JACOB BANG for HOLMEGAARD in the 1950s A wonderful pattern of raised dots cover the body of the pig, adding to its attractive reflections and light play. Smokey Grey in colour. There is a slight bubble in the glass under the left eye of the pig which looks like a tear.These cute glass money boxes by Jacob Bang are highly collectable. In excellent condition. There a slot to the top for inserting the coins, and no opening for removing them, so probably many of these beautifully designed art glass piggy bankswould have been smashed in order to retrieve the money inside.87mm high x125mm in length and 85mms in width.A great addition to any Scandinavian glass collection or Danish Design, Money box or pig collection.
